SHOT
Show 2020 was held Jan. 21-24, 2020, at the Sands Expo Center in
Las Vegas, NV. Over the years, Las Vegas has proven to be the perfect
city in which to hold such a large event as the SHOT Show, which is the
largest convention relating to firearms, sporting goods, and related
products; other cities have been tried, but Vegas is above all in its
capacity to properly host such major events. Owned and operated by the
National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the SHOT Show is the largest
convention of its kind in the world: more than 55,000 industry
professionals attended the 2020 SHOT Show, with the number of exhibiting
companies exceeding 2,500. Product display booths covered more than
692,000 net square feet, or nearly 16 acres, of exhibit space. The SHOT
Show has seen many changes over its 42-year run, with 2020 being a year
of great optimism for continued growth in the firearms & sporting
goods industry.
Gunblast was unable to attend the SHOT Show this
year, but we did get the jump on new product introductions for 2020 at
the 2019 NASGW (National Association of Sporting
Goods Wholesalers) Show in November, where many new products are
introduced to wholesalers & distributors for advance orders.
Our good friend Bobby Tyler, of Tyler
Gun Works in Friona, TX, was kind enough to send us some pictures
from the SHOT Show floor, and I present them here to our readers. Many
thanks to Bobby, and keep your eyes on Gunblast in 2020!
God
bless, Boge
