At
Gunblast.com, we are involved in testing guns and related
products. Motorcycle accessories are not usually the subject of
an article for us, but this product may be of interest to some
of our readers. Ron Schaerer is the owner of Innovative
Motorcycle Accessories in Richardson, Texas, and recently
sent to me some of his bolts and bolt covers that are made from Starline
.44 magnum cartridge cases. While they may be put to several
uses, the bolts are perfect to hold a license plate to a frame,
whether on a motorcycle or another type of vehicle. The bolt
head covers can also be used for other purposes, such as
imbedding into a wood stock or grip panel. Either product is
available in brass or nickel plated. The bolts are stainless,
and the quality of manufacture is excellent.
I used the .44
Magnum nickel plated bolts to fasten the license plate to my Harley
Road Glide, and they add a nice touch to the styling of the
bike.
