Closer
view of the “S” on Super #80-57650. As you can see, these marks would really be easy to miss!!
From the Bill Eyring collection. |

This
is one of only three Supers made with a 10” barrel.
Serial number 1505 is the only one known in a private collection.

10”
Super #1505 in its custom made mahogany box.
This box replicates the original mahogany boxes in every way
except for it extended length to accommodate the longer barrel.

This
is a left side view of my Super #8449 that was hand engraved and gold
inlaid by my friend, Master Engraver Ray Viramontez.
Ray engraved several special presentation Rugers for Bill
Ruger and the Sturm, Ruger, & Co. factory. |

This
Super has served as my shooter for the last several years and has had a
lot of rounds go down the tube. S/N
#7458, shipped in May 1961, is a high polish gun that is perfectly timed
and extremely accurate. |
|
Not
so good picture of my high polish shooter, Super #7458,
along with a rare Ruger Flap holster made by Cathay, an
early 1900’s GL&C knife passed down to me from a favorite
uncle and box of Federal 240 Gr. JHP. Definitely a sure “Tennessee Whitetail Formula” when I
can do my end of the job! |
