Voice Of Truth

It's a new year. Two thousand and twenty-two. The world in this new year will tell you many things. Fear, you will fail, you will get sick, you will die, your family will die, you will lose your job, we will be forced to take the jab, the government will arrest you, you won't be able to buy food, food supply is tarnished, you cannot pay your bills, people don't like you, you will never find love, you have no hope. 

Who says so? Your neighbor? The news media? Family? The voice in your head? CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, Fox, internet news, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, linked in?

Who are you going to believe in 2022? The voice of the devil? The voice of people meaning harm? The voice of people who do not know? Or the voice of truth? 

The only truth we have is found in the Word of God. The Bible. The others you cannot always believe. God you can always believe.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, like a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

John 10:10 (a) The thief cometh not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy;

But the voice of truth tells me a different story. 

John 10:10 (b) I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

The voice of truth is in the Bible, God's word. It you can believe. Always. 100% of the time.

The kind of faith it takes

Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is

But the voice of truth tells me a different story 

The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!" 

The voice of truth says, "This is for My glory" 

Out of all the voices calling out to me 

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

Oh what I would do to have 

The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant 

With just a sling and a stone 

Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors 

Shaking in their armor 

Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand 

But the giant's calling out my name 

And he laughs at me 

Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed 

The giant keeps on telling me

But the stone was just the right size 

To put the giant on the ground 

And the waves they don't seem so high 

From on top of them lookin' down 

I will soar with the wings of eagles 

When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus 

Singing over me

But the voice of truth tells me a different story 

The voice of truth says, "Do not be afraid!" 

The voice of truth says, "This is for My glory" 

Out of all the voices calling out to me 

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth

John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.

In this new year no doubt you will make plans, resolutions, commitments. You will seek after better health, better relationships, more money, bigger home, nicer car or truck, that newest gun, plenty of ammo, clothes, food, etc. Nothing wrong with wanting these things. But to achieve what you need and want, Jesus says to put Him first.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

So in this new year, choose to believe the voice of truth. We will all hear all kinds of words. We will need to sort through them to see if it is truth or lies. If we keep our basis of truth the Bible, then we will choose wisely. We will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth.

Happy New Year. Keep God first and everything else will fall into place. That is a promise.
