The Enemy WithinBy Greg Quinn September 22, 2008
The war on terror is real. It started long before September 11th, 2001, but that day gave terror a face. Since then, we have been at war with a cowardly enemy, the radical Muslim Terrorist. We are at war. When at war, the rules change. Everyone in the enemy camp is suspect. Those that have dealings with the enemy are suspect. War makes one realize that the enemy is out to kill you. We become more suspicious, and rightly so. In a war, survival is at stake. While victory is a gain in itself, in war victory alone is not enough, because failure has such huge consequences. Last week we remembered September 11th. For many of us, it was never forgotten. For others, it is remembered only once per year, on the anniversary of the greatest act of cowardice in the history of war. A faceless radical group declared success by killing more than 3000 innocent people through the attacks in NY and DC, and the failed attempt in United 93. We must never forget these acts of hostility against our homeland, and pursue and destroy all who navigated these waters of destruction. We must also remember something chillingly important. Those who committed these acts of cowardice against the US, and other countries, did so honestly believing that they are 100% correct in doing so. They honestly believe terror is a virtue! We in the US, forged on a Christian foundation of right and wrong, find it hard to believe that some people can justify murder as a righteous act. But, the Muslim faith teaches very clearly that it is honorable and even required to kill the “infidel”, in other words all who do not believe as they do. Mohammed teaches to kill all the unbelievers. The US represents the pinnacle of hatred for these radical Muslims, second only to their hatred of Israel. Therefore, when they kill thousands through cowardly actions, they do so believing that they will be rewarded in the afterlife for these murderous acts. As demented as this line of reasoning is, it is a compelling truth. The radical Muslims are dead set on killing America and everything we represent. This is a “holy war”, a war between the followers of Mohammed and the followers of Jesus. Because Israel is the enemy of Mohammed, and because the US is a Judeo-Christian nation, we are the enemy and therefore must be destroyed. So, the Muslim faith teaches death to the unbeliever. So, the radicals take every action suggested in their holy book as something they must do, and have every intent to destroy America. Before one says that I am falsely labeling all Muslims as terrorists, I am not doing so. I am sure there are some that defy some portions of their faith by applying common sense and discounting the teachings of Mohammed that pursue the death of the non-Muslim. Even though these teachings are in their holy book. So, not all Muslims are terrorists. But, it is a very profound fact that almost all terrorists are Muslims. Let me say that again. Not all Muslims are terrorists, but almost all terrorists are Muslims. For me and my country, because the Muslims do not wear a sign that says “I am a terrorist”, this should be enough justification to want to be very wary of all Muslims. I don’t wish to take the chance, do you? I don’t want a Muslim in my home, in my neighborhood, or certainly associated with anyone in our government. Not at this time. Not during war with the radical Muslims. Not out of racial or religious bigotry, but out of necessity to win in the war against terror. This brings us to other truths. It is a fact that Barack Hussein Obama was raised by a radical Muslim. It is a fact that Barack Hussein Obama went to Muslim schools as a child. It is a fact that those in the radical Muslim sect helped get him into Harvard and largely paid for Obama’s education. It is a fact that Obama “used to be” a Muslim (“used to be” is a key phrase; do we know for certain?). It is a fact that Obama’s formal break with the Muslim faith was replaced by a racially-bigoted and anti-American church and teachings. These are facts. Well documented. The mainstream media that we watch each day will want to allow us to forget this, as they are blinded by the liberalism and oratory skills of Obama. But, deny the facts if you so desire; the facts remain. Obama once had ties to radical Muslim teachings, the same teachings that tell a kid to strap on a bomb and blow up innocent people. Obama once followed the teachings of Mohammed and the Muslim faith. Obama’s most recent religious beliefs (over the past 20 years) supplanted Muslim teachings per-se for continued racist and anti-American sentiment. So, with these truths intact, can we be absolutely certain that Obama’s history with radical Muslim teachings will not result in an opportunity for terrorist acts within the very infrastructure of our society? Death from within? I am not saying that Obama is a terrorist. I honestly do not think for one minute that he is. I would hope that he is as disgusted as most Americans by the hostility and cowardice of a Muslim terrorist, but then again he once followed the same leader that they follow today. I am only reminding us of the facts. The associations are too close to comfort for me. Forget that his economic policies will break America. Forget that murder of babies will continue. Forget that he will dismantle our military and open us up for an attack from a waiting Iran or Russia. Forget that he will leave holes in our border so large that terrorists can walk over through Mexico, and that the economy of our nation will falter because of continued illegal immigration. Forget all the other socialist policies of Obama that will lead to a weakening of America. Forget all that. Focus on one thing. Ask yourself this one question. The answer to this question should become a determining factor as to whether or not you will support Obama in this all-important Presidential election. Is it worth the risk? Is it worth the risk that Obama may still have radical Muslim ties? Is it worth the risk that terrorists may seize the opportunity to destroy the freedoms we enjoy with one they more easily relate to in the office of President? Is it worth the risk to put your freedoms at jeopardy? Is it worth the risk to put your lives and your families in harms way? I cannot state with any degree of certainty that a White House with Obama is either safe or not, and neither can you. I can simply observe the facts, the history. Obama’s history tells us to be very careful. I wouldn’t want someone with his connections in my Church, in my neighborhood, or in my company. I certainly do not want someone with his connections in our White House. Do you? Greg Quinn
